Dallas Intralasik Surgery Information

Intralasik Information

In traditional LASIK surgery, the corneal flap is created with a surgical blade and an instrument called a microkeratome. With the IntraLASIK procedure there is no surgical blade. Instead, a laser beam passes through the outer layers of the cornea. The surgeon customizes each corneal flap according to an individual's vision disorder and corneal anatomy. Then, the flap is folded back and a laser reshapes the inner cornea to correct the patient's vision. The flap is then folded back over and the surgery is complete.
